Knitting with the Monsters...

My life with two toddlers and two cats, all of whom are out to drive me nuts and destroy my knitting!

I think it's fair to say that I've got the winter blahs. It's lasted, well, most of the winter. But now that spring is almost here, well it's even worse. I keep wanting to start new projects, and do one piece, and then want to move on. For example, I've knit one sock in Kissed. I've made the back piece for a sweater for Maddie in All Seasons Cotton. I'm trying to finish the hood on a cardigan for Jamie (finishing for Tamsin who can't knit at the moment), and working on the back of a hooded jumper for Jamie/Maddie (my god they're the same size, they can share!) in Summer Tweed. And have like so many other things I want to do... And I've stalled on my simple knitted bodice and a sock I started for my dad. Not to mention the scarf I was trying to knit for DH in DB superchunky cashmerino.

I'm also trying to change my template so it can be more interesting. Cuz maybe that'll mean I blog more? But I'm stuck. My short online HTML authoring course 7 years ago isn't enough to help me navigate the newfangled internet languages. That and my lack of brainpower these days, I'm lost (hence why it's green now instead of pink).

And today's random idea is to knit myself some rugs - for the kitchen and the utility room. I'm still trying to figure out why I don't just BUY one...

I wish it was spring. I need to get out into the garden and put my hands in dirt. It needs to stop being grey and rainy. Maybe this is a little Seasonal Affective Disorder? We're supposed to be going to Malta in two weeks but we don't know. The tickets and hotel are already booked and paid for. But DH might have to be here for a business trip. might. Can't I just go and leave him with the kids? Oh right, that's my trip at the end of March. (yeay!!!) Maybe I should buy a sun lamp or go to a tanning booth?

Anyhow, it is my solemn promise (to me) is to attempt to post more often. More than once a month. So I'll have more than 12 posts a year...
